Chartered physiotherapy

A chartered physiotherapist is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) — the professional governing body that ensures high standards of practice are maintained. Our physiotherapists are also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

That is followed by an objective examination of your posture, muscle balance, active and passive range of movement, power, stability and function. Together these give us a working diagnosis and a realistic idea of what treatment can achieve.

Treatment approaches

Various different approaches can be used to reduce pain, regain range of movement and restore normal function. In practice we most often draw on:

Soft tissue techniques

Alongside the treatments above we use soft tissue techniques — massage, trigger point work and stretching — to release tight, painful muscle and prepare a joint for movement.
